I am proud and humbled to serve as a Borough councillor for Handside ward. 

I am originally from Poland, and I have been living in the UK for 20 years working in a Community and Voluntary Sector across Hertfordshire and London for the last 16 years. My roles were in the past based around community development, capacity building, community participation and community engagement and more recently they are aligned to support the HR and finance functions. 

Being a Councillor for me is all about making a difference, helping to grow people and empowering communities. I believe strongly in providing residents with a platform and a voice, which can positively impact their lives as the communities they serve. My fellow Councillors, Gemma, Tony and I  are committed to working hard to strengthen our community and are determined that Welwyn Garden City's voice is clearly heard when priorities are chosen and decisions are made.

During the last year I have really appreciated the opportunity to meet so many people as the Deputy Mayor and I look forward to becoming the Mayor in 2026/27 and hope to bring even more people together.
