We are delighted to announce that yesterday afternoon, Liberal Democrat Cllr, Jane Quinton and Labour Group leader, Lynn Chesterman signed an agreement to form a Joint Administration in Welwyn Hatfield - with a new Cabinet set to be confirmed at the Annual Council meeting on Monday 22nd May.
Lib Dem group leader, and the new Leader of the Council, Cllr Paul Zukowskyj (who was unable to attend the signing due to testing positive for Covid), said:
"I am delighted to work in partnership through the new Joint Administration and address the priorities of our local communities, whilst driving the Council’s climate change agenda forward."
Echoing this sentiment, Deputy Leader of the Council, Cllr Chesterman added
“We are committed to achieving the best outcomes for all of our communities and we firmly believe our new Joint Administration will help us achieve this”.
We will bring you full details of the new administration after the full council meeting on Monday, when the joint administration is due to be officially confirmed by council.
