Local Government Review Consultation
All 11 councils in Hertfordshire have launched the second phase of engagement to shape proposals on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
Residents, community groups, businesses and wider stakeholders are invited to share their views on how services will be delivered in Hertfordshire in the years ahead.

We are frustrated at the Labour Government's break neck pace and one size fits all plans. The timescale set out by the Government is hampering well considered rationalisation.
LGR will inevitably mean that residents will be dealing with a larger council, responsible for a much bigger area and with fewer Councillors representing them but all council services will be provided by the Unitary council.
Is this the best way to serve local residents and the local area? As a group we do not believe it is.
Will it actually save money for residents? The jury is out on this, but recent reports say that it seems unlikely.
Please have a look at the consultation and talk to your local Councillor to find out more.
