Grant Shapps - about to defect to the Liberal Democrats.

That's a headline we hope to see soon in the Welwyn Hatfield Times. For those who haven't heard, in what is fast becoming known as Shappsgate, Grant Shapps was recently found out posing as a Liberal Democrat on a U-Tube website.

The news travelled fast and soon he was interviewed about it on the one o'clock news on Radio 4, and it has also been picked up in the Times. Grant, known as one of the Tories most expert e-campaigners, was forced to claim that his account had been hacked into - apparently very easily done as his password was 1234. Mmmmmm.....
